Linkedin Review

LinkedIn is where business professionals from all backgrounds come together to network.  Think of it as Facebook for business professionals.  As with Facebook, you can create a profile, upload photos and certificates, and connect with other professionals via their profiles.  To be honest, this is the best tool to happen to business since the internet.

LinkedIn: Hands-on Review

Profiles and networking is not the only feature of LinkedIn.  Many companies post jobs on the platform.  Job seekers can then set job alerts, save jobs, and keep track of applied jobs.  Finding new leads is also what many professionals use the platform for.  Prospecting for new business has never been easier for sales professionals as the site offers many filtering features such as job title, company, and state or country location.  Bonus: there is also an app for mobile users.

The LinkedIn Era

Yes, it’s official.  We are in the LinkedIn Era.  To be taken seriously as a business professional you must have a LinkedIn profile.  The only other site that is close is exclusively for jobseekers.  Yes, I’m talking about Indeed.  Facebook is a close second but is only for social networking, not the professional type.  LinkedIn is where professionals start company research and connect with the people making things happen.

LinkedIn: In a Nutshell.

I first discovered LinkedIn back in 2016.  It has been the absolute best tool I have used for finding work and connecting with other professionals.  I set job alerts, I apply to jobs, and I have also searched for leads with the platform.  It helped me land a job with Amazon and the folks at Linked are always working on ways to help professional workers.  My favorite recent addition is the LinkedIn Learning Center.  You can pick various courses to get spun up on in-demand skills ranging anywhere from SEO to Leadership Development.
